1891 - Bennie Trautwein - 1916

A loved one dear from us is gone.
A voice we loved is stilled.
A place is vacant in our home.
Which never can be filled.

  1. This is my husband's grandfather, who died when his father was only two years old! My father-in-law's name was Price Preston Trautwein and he died in October of 2002. My husband is Richard Dean Trautwein, born in 1942 in Glendale CA USA. Do you know anything about a Charles Wolf, supposedly the son of Fredrike Rosina Hay Wolf Trautwein? This boy came over on the boat with his mother and step-father, but we can find no records. They also lost a daughter to drowning in the Murr River before they left. Her name was Pauline.

Pauline Christiane was 2 years old when she drowned, it is noted: "ertrunken in der Bottwar" - the Bottwar is a small river in Steinheim and flows into the Murr on the outskirts of town. Best wishes !
